Seizing Transitions as Opportunities
The 24th Treasury of Knowledge Retreat with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
Video on Demand - originally held October 26 - 28, 2018, in San Antonio, TX.
Life transitions - including moving, changing jobs, becoming sick, or dying - are often times of pronounced fear and feelings of panic. However, if met with kindness and clear seeing, such transition periods can be times of heightened awakening and even joy. During this weekend program, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche shares Buddhist methods for tapping into our emotional and intellectual abilities to skillfully process changes of all kinds.
The Contemplative Resource Center [CRC] is pleased to present the second program of the historic Treasury of Knowledge Retreat [TOK] Series, which began in 1992, in San Antonio, Texas. CRC plans to present selected TOK retreats in a video series over time. We presented the most recent TOK, Medicine Buddha: Intrinsic Health and Healing, in a live online format Nov. 13-15, 2020, and it will soon be available as a public offering in video format.
The 24th Treasury of Knowledge Retreat with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, was originally held October 26 - 28, 2018, in San Antonio, TX. The retreat was an in-person residential program with 100 participants. It was the first year the retreat included an online component, which opened the talks to several hundred additional students from across the country. The program was held at the Staybridge Suites near San Antonio’s famed Riverwalk, just days before Halloween, one of the city’s most lively cultural events, celebrated with days of live music, dancing, costume contests, and parades.
